I’m so excited to share this pregnancy announcement session at the International Peace Gardens in Salt Lake with you today! With my recent rebrand, I opened a model call for a few different types of photo sessions to add to my portfolio. This was how Chelsie and Rianna found me and I had the absolute best time working with them!
International Peace Gardens Pregnancy Announcement!
When I first arrived at the garden, I was a bit disappointed in the blooms and blossoms throughout. Based on what I had seen on their Instagram I was expecting to see a few more blooming plants even though they hadn’t planted the gardens yet. Thankfully, the trees in the Japanese Garden near the back of the park were in their prime giving us the garden feel Rianna was looking for!
With how much variety is at the Peace Gardens I love to use the various gardens throughout my sessions here. We were near the front to get some photos with the massive trees when Rianna noticed this gorgeous yellow blooming bush! I love the uniqueness of this bush and the stunning background it provides!
At the end of most of my sessions I have a last minute idea that usually ends up being my favorite photo from the whole session. We had made our way back to the Japanese Garden to grab some final photos when I decided to try and prop up the letterboard in front of them while they stood off in the distance a little bit. I ended up using my shoe to get the board to stand, and I’m obsessed with how this turned out! The light is filtering through the trees just right giving that beautiful golden hour glow, you can see the love Rianna and Chelsie have for each other, and they’re announcing the upcoming arrival of their first little one!
To the Derby Family, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! Your family is so sweet, and it was great getting to know you guys better. I can’t wait to see you all continue to grow together!
Enjoy this little peek into this sweet pregnancy announcement session!
